Back in 2012, Cristina and Alexandru Badan—young parents from Iași, Romania—were searching for high-quality, educational music content in Romanian for their kids. What they found was far from ideal. That’s when the idea for TraLaLa was born—the first Romanian YouTube channel featuring preschool songs with original animations.
With no background in the industry but full of passion and determination, the Badan family poured every resource into their first productions. The response was overwhelming. Within months, TraLaLa became a trusted favorite for families across Romania.
The success of TraLaLa paved the way for global expansion. In 2014, LooLoo Kids was launched as the English-language channel—and it quickly became a worldwide phenomenon. With high-quality 3D productions, native voice talent, and culturally adapted content, LooLoo Kids was the first Eastern European channel to receive the YouTube Diamond Play Button.
Today, LooLoo Kids gathers over 130 million subscribers across its YouTube presence.
