TraLaLa YouTube Channel Surpasses 7 Million Subscribers
The TraLaLa YouTube channel, dedicated to musical and educational content for children, has surpassed the milestone of 7 million subscribers, marking a new chapter in the growth of a brand that has evolved alongside generations of children and parents in Romania.
“Reaching 7 million subscribers confirms the positive impact TraLaLa has on the lives of children and families who follow us every day,” said Cristina Badan, CEO of TraLaLa. “We are happy to see this project continue to grow while staying true to its core values: care and love for children, education through music and play, and a carefully curated editorial approach where child safety and content quality always come first.”
From a Personal Project to a National Brand
The YouTube channel, now widely known among children, parents, and educators across Romania, was launched in 2012 from Cristina and Alexandru Badan’s desire to offer their own children the songs of their childhood, reimagined through age-appropriate animation for preschoolers.
Welcomed with enthusiasm by YouTube users and fueled by encouraging feedback, as well as the organic popularity it gained in kindergartens and playgrounds, TraLaLa experienced steady growth over the years. It has become the most-watched Romanian-language educational YouTube channel for children, with over 10 billion views and 600 million watch hours.
Starting with traditional children’s songs familiar to today’s parents, and expanding with original content focused on the alphabet, numbers, emotions, daily routines, and social values, TraLaLa has become, for many children, their first step toward structured learning—delivered in a friendly and accessible way.
A Complete Ecosystem for Children’s Content
By 2026, TraLaLa represents far more than children’s music. The brand also includes dubbed animated series in Romanian, enjoyed by entire generations through titles such as BabyRiki, Vik the Viking, and Maya the Bee.
Today, TraLaLa is no longer just a YouTube channel, but a full ecosystem comprising over 12 thematic YouTube channels dedicated to music and animated content (including Fixiki, BoonBoon, and DSN). The TraLaLa concept has expanded beyond YouTube and is equally popular on Android, iOS, and Samsung mobile apps, as well as on Spotify and Apple Music. Most notably, it includes two television channels – TraLaLa and DSN, both ranking among the top children’s TV channels broadcast via cable in Romania.
TraLaLa – Strong Values and a Healthy Media Concept
TraLaLa actively promotes quality family time and encourages parents to be present alongside their children, especially during the early years. The brand supports the idea that, up to around the age of two, children should be stimulated primarily through direct interaction—singing, dancing, playing, and emotional connection—using music as a background element rather than a replacement for parental presence. During this crucial developmental stage, TraLaLa recommends limiting early exposure to tablets and digital devices in favor of natural, balanced growth.
Behind every song and animation is a dedicated team of creatives, producers, animators, musicians, and specialists who continuously adapt the content to children’s real needs and parents’ expectations. The TraLaLa team consistently seeks the right balance between entertainment and education, joy and responsibility, ensuring healthy development for young audiences.
TraLaLa is a brand that has grown together with its audience and continues to adapt to the needs of modern families, while remaining firmly anchored in its core principles: safety, education, play, and respect for the child.
